Midas Touch Painting Group | Sutherland Shire Painters was the winning division for the contract of painting and decorating for the Altaire developments in Caringbah South. Our contractor – SGM building required a very high standard which meant that all plaster damage and cracks had to be filled and sanded back to provide a perfectly smooth finish for painting. Drop sheets were a must as the hardwood floors were extremely expensive.

Our scope of works for this project included the painting of all interior doors, door frames, garage floors, cornices, skirting, colonial windows, architraves, bulk heads and ceilings. The exterior painting works included the walls, eaves, fencing, doors, frames and the touching up of all windows.

For the painting of all interior surfaces we used Dulux Wash and Wear plus Anti Bacterial Paint because of its great coverage and the benefits of its easy clean up.

For all the wood work preparation, we thoroughly sanded all surfaces cleaned up the job site by vacuuming all rooms followed by tack clothing and then the undercoat was applied. For this we used  Taubman’s Tradex Prep Range. The paint used for ceilings and cornices was the Dulux Ceiling flat white.
